the area even late at night. It is reasonably close to the underground but not close to a well stocked supermarket. The apartment was modest but clean, comfortable and with all the amenities we needed.
Finding the address was easy, but getting to the right apartment needs to be better explained. The numbering is not clear. It took a while to find someone to point out the apartment to us. We did call the owner, but it was difficult to communicate with him since his english and german was poor. But when we eventually met, everything worked out fine and he was very kind and helpful.
The apartment was good value for the money and we would recommend it to our friends. However next time we would like to find a location closer to more restaurants and more “action” during the evening like the Prenzlauer Berg area. But ok this will be a more expensive area.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Old Style Apartment. The location was great, a really authentic city/suburb/neighbourhood experience that we were looking for. The apartment it self met all our needs and was clean and and well equipped. Our only gripe was that it was advertised as having wi-fi/internet access and it didn't. Andreas met us (and let us in early which was fab), and was apologetic, saying that previous tenants said it hadn't worked very well. Well ok, so either provide an better service or don't advertise that the apartment has it! We had come thinking that a lot of information about cultural events such as music, concerts, performances etc would be accessible online but we weren't able to access this detail, which was disappointing. We would be grateful if this issue was addressed. We would certainly stay there again, but only if it did have internet access.
