We stayed in winterpalace 14 - the smallest one for 2 weeks in September 2010. The apartment was clean and tidy. Fully equipped with all the basics (kitchen utensils, towels, soap, coffee, tea, etc.). Even a nice small private balcony to drink our morning coffee. Exactly what we needed in our stay (a young couple with no kids). No more, no less.
The location was great. Not in the ultra-touristic center of Berlin, but still in a well located area of Berlin (Schoeneberg). Located a 5 min walk from the underground (Bullowstrasse), and even less from the bus station to Tiergarten park and Mitte. A lot of nice restaurants and cafes on the street and in the surrounding blocks.
The owner was welcoming and helpful during the entire stay. Including a defective shower head that was quickly replaced the very next morning after we talked to him.
The price for the apartment was exceptionally reasonable. I don't believe you'll be able to find anywhere in Berlin an apartment of this kind and in this quality with a cheaper (or even equal...) price.

Summing up our experience about the apartment Winterplace 14
we can claim that this accomodation is the cleanest one that we have booked ever. It was equppied well. And the thing that we loved most in it, is its location in Berlin. U and S bahn stations near to the apartment, so we could reach the main attractions really easy and fast.
