What to expect: Stay 2 nights for FREE in this holiday apartment in Prenzlauer Berg, as pictured above. On the first floor, it has twin beds which can also be linked together to form a double bed, which would suit either a couple or two friends. It has all the comforts of home, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath tub plus a balcony – great for a glass of wine and people watching. Explore the  nearby area and visit the restaurants, cafés, quirky boutique clothes shops & parks; all literally on your doorstep. It’s close to transport too and it takes only 5 minutes to the city centre.

The destination: Berlin is both Germany’s political capital and Europe’s current capital of all things cultural and hip. It’s one of the most vibrant city breaks to go on. Immerse yourself in the history & culture by visiting Checkpoint Charlie or Museum Island in Mitte for example. Or, spend some time exploring the cafes and fashion shops in Berlin’s former east Prenzlauer Berg district.

More information about the neighbourhood you would be staying: Prenzlauer Berg is a great choice if you are a family or a couple looking to enjoy local Berlin life but want to be only a few minutes from the historic centre (Mitte). Although a central neighbourhood, it’s still residential and is predominately quiet and relaxed. The architecture is wonderful, with many of the late 19th century buildings now restored to their former glory, along with a handful not – to remind us of Berlin’s divided past. Discover Kastanienallee, a long winding street full of bars and cafés, old and new, which again echoes Berlin’s past. Hire bikes or take a tram and in 10 minutes you are in Berlin’s historic centre of Mitte.
